The ROcumentary Collection
Romanian documentary film collection, which has been nominated for The Civil Society Awards 2010, at the Section “Art and Culture”, by far one the most important awards for successful social projects put in practice by Romanian organizations.
The ROcumentary project is a Romanian documentary film collection produced by AMF during 2006-2010. It brings into attention 6 documentaries on several Transylvanian cities and raises awareness on the fact that Romania has indeed more to offer than one would sometimes think.
In his cinematic journey, Andem- Mihai Andrei (the film director) presents a fascinating world of traditions, long-forgotten truths, both in from a historical perspective and facing nowadays’ realities, of cities such as: Cisnadioara, Cisnadie, Ocna Sibiului, Nocrich, Copsa Mica and Cluj-Napoca. It consists of the following documentaries:
Michelsberg Saga
Helta
History Bits- Ocna Sibiului
Nocrich- The Faces of the Poverty
Copsa Mica- The Story of Hope
Cluj-Napoca in 10 minutes
Due to the important and debatable issues that the films bring into attention (historical events- Cisnadie, fossils discovery of an extraordinary importance- Cisnadioara, the cruel poverty of some villages-Nocrich, pollution-Copsa Mica) The ROcumentary Collection was selected and presented at Carmona Film Festival. In addition to this, in 2010 Copsa Mica- The Story of Hope was awarded Special Mention for Ecological Documentary at the 14th Edition of the Document.Art International Film Festival.
The remarkable soundtrack, composed by Gabriel Bebeselea (conductor and composer), gave an unique flavour to the movies.
